Cheer: Building educational futures

Cheer is a student- and parent-initiated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, California. Founded on the principle that quality education should be accessible to all, Cheer strives to provide free and affordable educational resources and community service opportunities for students and families across the region.

The acronym CHEER represents the organization's core values: Community, Help, Education, Engagement, and Resources. These pillars guide their work in creating welcoming spaces where students and families can access quality educational content, find meaningful volunteer opportunities, and build connections that enrich their lives and neighborhoods.

Through peer teaching, fundraising for social causes, and cultural events, Cheer creates meaningful opportunities for civic engagement and community connection. The organization is dedicated to preserving cultural legacy while encouraging innovation—educating peers throughout the San Gabriel Valley to prepare them for the modern world and its associated challenges.

Axiomatic is proud to support Cheer's mission by running Cheer San Gabriel Valley, a volunteer program that extends STEM education and hands-on learning experiences to underserved communities. Together, we're building pathways for students to discover their potential and develop the skills they'll need for future success.

Strategic Partnership

Partnering with STEAMcoders at Idealabs

During our visit to Idealabs, we discovered an incredible opportunity to partner with STEAMcoders, an organization dedicated to providing accessible STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) classes to students in our community. This partnership has been transformative for our outreach efforts.

Through our collaboration with STEAMcoders, we've gained access to dedicated classroom spaces where we can host our educational workshops and community classes. This partnership allows us to expand our reach, combine resources, and provide more comprehensive learning experiences. By working together, we're able to offer workshops that blend robotics, engineering, and creative problem-solving in an environment designed specifically for hands-on learning.

This strategic alignment between Axiomatic, Cheer, and STEAMcoders demonstrates the power of community collaboration. Together, we're building a robust network of support for students who want to explore STEM careers and develop practical skills in a welcoming, innovative space.
